Batteries may not be put into the household waste. As an end user, the user is legally obliged to return used batteries. The user may return used batteries after use free of charge to the point of sale in their immediate vicinity (e.g. to municipal collection points or to the retailer).

The chemical name of the respective pollutant is located near the symbol of the wheelie bin.
