An oasis of well-being

A true dream destination for many guests, and one to where they always love to return – Sney Rivier Lodge, built in 2009. Despite the distance of well over 8000 km, the journey was pleasant thanks to direct overnight flights. The transfer from Windhoek airport took only two hours at a leisurely pace and guests were greeted with refreshing cocktails on this late morning at Sney Rivier.

The design of the lodge focuses on giving guests plenty of privacy – one reason why many guests become regulars. Five chalets, each with a view of the bush and the watering hole, offer space for a maximum of ten guests in total, ensuring that it never feels too busy. This has made Sney Rivier Lodge something of a well kept secret: It is, in fact, often the wives or partners of the hunters who inspire their significant others to go on this trip. Because where else could one have a more relaxed holiday than in a place where you can go hunting together or, if preferred, spend the day alone in the exceptional surroundings of your own sanctuary.

Hunting guests appreciate that Sney Rivier offers a variety of modern shotguns with high-quality design for customers to borrow. This means no one has to go through the trouble of travelling their own firearm. Of course guests can first test the borrowed shotgun at the lodge’s range thoroughly. While bringing firearms into Namibia at Windhoek airport is a quick process without a lot of red tape, it is still nice to travel light. And if someone wants to combine the stay at Sney Rivier with a tour of Namibia, borrowing a shotgun is the best option anyway. It makes the entire holiday as relaxed as possible.
