A reticle in the First Focal Plane (FFP) increases in size proportionally with the image. This means that the reticle’s scale remains consistent at all magnification levels, ensuring that the point of impact does not shift when changing magnification. This feature makes range estimation easier, as the reticle remains proportional to the target size regardless of zoom – providing a consistent point of impact at any magnification.

The B1 riflescopes come with a Reticle 4 in the First Focal Plane (FFP). In this image plane, the distance between the reticle bars remains constant relative to the target size at all magnification levels. This allows hunters to reliably estimate distances depending on the magnification, without the need for additional equipment.

The iC function (Illumination Control) of Blaser riflescopes optimizes the use of the illuminated reticle system. In combination with the R8 bolt-action rifle or the K95 single-shot rifle featuring an iC cocking slide, a sensor inside the scope detects the position of the cocking mechanism. By moving the cocking slide into the ready-to-fire position, the illuminated reticle is automatically activated – eliminating the need for manual switching. This saves valuable time and enhances safety, as the illuminated reticle visually indicates that the rifle is cocked. When the scope is used on other rifles, the reticle illumination can be activated manually by pulling out the adjustment wheel on the right side.
