In adition to stretch fabrics, the cut is the secret behind a perfectly functioning clothing system. After all, it is the cut – that is, the individual pieces of the garment sewn together – that ensures the desired function and fit. In the case of the heat-insulating HunTec shell jackets, for example, the stretch panels adapt to the lining, the insulation, and the outer material. To make this possible, we completely reimagined the jackets’ cut. The result: the Blaser Outfits HunTec Shell Cut, for which a patent has been filed.
At the heart of this new cut – developed specifically for hunting – is the fact that the back of the shell jackets is made from just ONE pattern piece. This piece extends from the front in the upper chest area, over the collar, across the back, and down to the hem of the jacket. On both sides, it extends beyond the shoulder blades to the elbow. As a result, this pattern piece has NO SEAMS in the back area.
Layering principle
