Classic hunting in the hills of Western Hungary
The Zalaerdő state forest is located in the hilly region of western Hungary and spans over 22,000 hectares with a high forest density. It is renowned for its excellent red deer population and impressive trophies. Hunting methods include stalking, high-seat, driven and battue hunts – both in open terrain and fenced areas. Hunting seasons vary by species, with the red stag rut occurring in September and October. Accommodation is provided in various hunting lodges offering comfort and proximity to the grounds. The hunts are organized by experienced professional guides who also assist with trophy evaluation.
