Newfoundland is a hidden gem for hunters seeking moose and black bear in pristine wilderness. Victoria Outfitters Lodge is located in one of the game-richest areas of the province – with one of the highest moose densities in the world and some of the largest black bears in North America.
Arrival is via Gander, from where you’ll be transferred to the lodge. Hunting takes place around the Victoria River – a hotspot for game movement.
In spring (May–June), the focus is on black bears emerging from hibernation. In fall (September–October), moose and bear are hunted – with peak rut offering excellent trophy opportunities.
Accommodation is in cozy cabins with full board. Hunts are guided 2:1 or 1:1 on request. Non-hunting companions and children are welcome.
