When stalking game, every movement counts, every sound counts and every meter matters. Clothing must neither rustle nor draw attention when it comes into contact with equipment or vegetation. At the same time, it must withstand changing weather conditions and function reliably even during long hunting days. That is exactly why we developed the Blaser Silence 2L Jacket. It is designed to consistently reduce noise and combine camouflage with reliable weather performance.
The Silent Motion material construction is clearly divided into functional zones. In the torso area as well as under the arms, a knitted 2 layer stretch fleece is used that remains soft to the touch and produces no audible noise even when moving. On the shoulders and upper arms, a robust woven stretch material is used that reinforces exactly where stress occurs without becoming stiff or noisy, for example when in contact with backpack straps or vegetation. At the same time, it provides an increased level of DWR water repellency and full freedom of movement across the shoulder blades and elbow joints. This creates the combination of freedom of movement, durability and quiet zones where every detail matters. Underarm ventilation openings allow excess heat to be released without creating additional sources of noise.
The 2 layer construction is equipped with a polyurethane membrane and achieves a water column of 10,000 mm with a breathability of 10,000 g per m² in 24 h. Taped seams and a water repellent Lamoral finish complement the weather resistant construction. The jacket is fully waterproof while remaining soft and quiet in movement. The Silence Camouflage, inspired by the colors and contrast of the fall forest, blends naturally into the surroundings and lets contours blur in the terrain.
The features are also designed for silent movement. Two Silence pockets on the front can be closed using a low-noise magnetic button, with an additional snap button to prevent accidental opening. They are complemented by two hand warmer pockets, two chest pockets, a rear pocket as well as three inner pockets, partly with mesh lining for additional breathability. A radio pocket with antenna outlet allows the use of communication devices. The well designed pocket system ensures that all essentials are always within easy reach without unnecessary movement. Adjustable sleeve cuffs and an adjustable hem ensure a close to the body fit that keeps warmth inside and does not flap. This is Silence by Blaser — designed to bring you closer than ever before.
