Forged Barrel and Chamber
The barrel and chamber are cold hammer forged in a single step, making them perfectly concentric.

Optimum Barrel Bedding
The barrel is embedded in the solid receiver with a receiver bar, allowing it to swing completely free. This ensures repeatable accuracy and maximum precision after changing the barrel.

Radial Locking System
Stability and reliable accuracy: The extremely strong, concentric locking system locks directly in the barrel without any rotary motion.

Precision Trigger
From thought impulse into action: The precise R8 trigger provides maximum shooter control. Its excellent, crisp characteristic is the perfect prerequisite for accurate shooting. With the optional ATZL Match hunting trigger, shooters can choose between a trigger weight of 250 or 650 g.

Perfect Stock Design
The relaxed shooting position of the hand reduces the risk of flinching. Blaser stocks, with their distinct palm swell and optimal cast, provide the ideal grip. The ergonomic thumbhole stocks of the R8 Success and R8 Ultimate models significantly support shooting accuracy in any firing position.

The Original Blaser Saddle Mount
Blaser’s original Saddle Mount has revolutionized the connection between the rifle and the scope. Its consistent accuracy, reliability and precision are legendary and unmatched. After being zeroed in once, the riflescope can be removed and replaced in just a few simple steps, with no need for tools, as often as desired, with 100% return to zero. This allows you the flexibility to use different scopes on the same barrel.

Manual Cocking System
The R8 is cocked the very moment before shooting. A red signal plate indicates that the rifle is cocked. Should the shot not be taken, by simply pressing down on the cocking lever, it will slide back smoothly, decocking the rifle.

Loading and Unloading with Decocked Rifle
If the R8 is decocked with a locked bolt, the bolt handle is blocked. To safely open the bolt, the cocking lever needs to be moved slightly forward (approx. 3mm/ 1/8"), but not cocked, while simultaneously pulling back on the bolt handle. This enables safe loading and unloading in a decocked state.

Protection Against Misuse
If the R8 magazine with integrated trigger guard is taken out, the cocking lever cannot be set in the cocked position. This is without doubt the safest protection against unauthorized use!

Short Cut
The unique design of the R8 magazine above the trigger allows the overall length of the R8 to be significantly shorter than any conventional bolt action rifle.

Easy Take-Down
More comfort when stalking over long distances: the R8 can be stripped down, packed away and reassembled in a matter of seconds without the slightest change in the point of impact.

Huntable as never before
The ergonomically perfected thumbhole stocks of the R8 Success and R8 Ultimate not only ensure a relaxed posture for the shooting hand and arm when aiming, but also a secure grip when holding the hunting rifle with one hand. Dog or shooting stick in one hand, the other guides the rifle: thanks to the R8 thumbhole stocks with a steep pistol grip and optimized thumbhole, the rifle is easy to hold – almost like a handgun – and can be brought into shooting position with precision.

Smooth handling – R8 Silence
The outer contour of the R8 Silence with its smooth bull barrel design and the slim diameter of the integral silencer ensure comfortable handling without snagging when walking through the hunting ground with the rifle on your back or when stowing the R8 in its case. Even when looking through the scope – with or without a clip-on device – the R8 Silence models guarantee a clear field of view. The weight of the silencer is distributed over the entire length of the barrel, which further improves balance and swing behavior and allows the rifle to be brought into perfect firing position more quickly.

Designed for ladies
The purpose-built stock of the R8 Intuition takes into account the anatomy of women. In combination with a slender pistol grip, this optimally designed Monte Carlo stock maximizes comfort and provides ample surface area for a proper cheek weld to the stock allowing the huntress to fully unlock the potential of the R8. The stock positions itself optimally in the shoulder, contributing to accurate shooting in any position.

Excellently Protected
The closed design of the R8 receiver prevents malfunction caused by foreign objects. Receiver and bolt guide are hard-anodized and made of high-grade aluminum. The barrel surfaces of the R8 barrels are DLC A+ coated – for maximum durability and corrosion protection as well as low maintenance.

Quick Take Down – Easily Cleaned
Even when in the bush, the R8 can be taken down and reassembled within a few seconds. Snow, dirt, leaves or needles are easily removed.

Locked Magazine
The R8 magazine is only released when simultaneously pressing both release buttons. Accidental drop out of the magazine by unintentionally using the release buttons is thus virtually impossible. In addition, both release buttons can be locked by a slide inside the magazine base.

Desmodromic Trigger Mechanism
Only when the bolt is fully locked, the firing pin can be released and will strike the primer. When removing the trigger unit, the rifle uncocks automatically into the safe position.

Trigger, stock length, handling everything remains the way you are used to: Thanks to interchangeable barrels, you can hunt with your R8 in the appropriate caliber on every continent and for every type of game – from .17 HMR to .500 Jeffery. The interchangeable barrels can be exchanged easily in less than a minute without the need for a gunsmith. Changing the rifle scope with repeatable accuracy? No problem!
Every R8 barrel is prepared for the Original Blaser Saddle Mount, so each scope or illuminated dot sight that is zeroed to the barrel can be interchanged and, above all, with 100% return to zero.

True left-handed version
Almost every model variant of the Blaser R8 is available as a true left-handed version with left-handed stock and left-handed bolt assembly. The ergonomic stock was developed especially for left-handed shooters. It is available as standard, Success or Ultimate stock in wood, carbon or as a synthetic version.

In-line Repeating
The bolt handle is in an ergonomically perfect position just above the trigger guard. The straightforward and intuitive bolt cycling allows for lightning-fast firing sequences with relaxed posture: Rifle and eye remain focused on the target giving more time to aim exactly and ensure a perfect shot.

Fast on Target
For quick target acquisition, the optionally available, adjustable comb can be individually adjusted at the touch of a button without the need for tools.

“Blind” Magazine Exchange
Easy and fast: The magazine buttons can be operated “blindly” due to their perfect positioning above the trigger. When pushing on both buttons at the same time, the magazine releases straight into the shooter’s hand. A second, loaded magazine can be inserted extremely quickly without looking.
