Hunting, nature & relaxation in the High Tauern

Mountain hunting in Carinthia’s Maltatal is one of the most impressive experiences in the Alps. The hunting area lies on the edge of Hohe Tauern National Park and covers around 3,200 hectares – from 1,100 to 3,000 m elevation.

Game includes chamois, red deer, roe deer, marmot and black grouse. Chamois hunting is physically demanding but offers unforgettable scenery and hunting moments. Red deer rut hunts are another highlight.

Hunting is done by stalking or from a stand. Trophies are scored according to CIC standards. Accommodation ranges from rustic hunting huts to family-run guesthouses.

Included are guiding, trophy preparation, lodging and optional meals.
